横差保护
发电机横差保护通常用于反应发电机定子绕组的匝间短路和某一并联绕组的开焊，保护取自发电机中性点双分支间的不平衡基波电流，但电流大于定值时经整定延时动作于告警或跳闸。
3.9 反时限负序过流保护
电力系统中发生不对称短路或三相负荷不平衡时可能在发电机定子绕组中流过负序电流，并在转子中产生倍频电流，引起转子表层过热，发电机反时限负序过流保护保护转子在上述情况下不长期过热使转子绝缘降低而导致发电机损坏，保护判别发电机定子负序电流大小，由三个部分组成：
1)下限定时限：当负序电流大于下限定值但不满足反时限启动值时，按下限延时动作于告警信号；
2)反时限：当负序电流大于反时限启动值时，按反时限动作方程(I22-K)t≥A动作，式中：I2--为发电机负序电流标么值，K—发电机长期运行运行负序电流的标么值，A—发电机转子表层承受负序电流能力的常数；；
3)上限定时限：当负序电流大于上限定值，按上限延时动作于出口跳闸。
